This is with regards to what had happened this afternoon started from walkout of Magdalo group from the Oakwood mutiny hearing in Makati Trial Court. I didn't monitored what really happened in the trial court since 1pm this afternoon. I should have post this earlier but I have to attend to some personal matters.
Curfew will be implemented by Philippine National Police, guidelines was released and announced in the Teleradio by PNP Chief Avelino Razon Jr. I just got home from a despedida dinner, my relatives and friends are txting me to get home as soon as possible, informing me of the curfew tonight at 12midnight to 5am. What curfew?! At my age, I didn't know what that is. The stories of my father when I was young came to my mind and got afraid. What's happening? Martial law? OMG!
The moment I got home, I've watched PNP Chief Avelino Razon Jr's phone patch interview clarifying things regarding curfew. We can contact the mobile #09178475757 if we encountered curfew problems or curfew abuse by the local police. Policemen conducting curfew should be in complete proper uniform with their badge and name plates. Exempion to curfew are night workers including call center agents etc, medical practitioners and food travellers from provinces. Razon said, curfew is implemented to monitor the people's movement, there's no liquor ban or whatsoever. There will also be checkpoints to various places in National Capital Region, Region 3 and Region 4A. It is right to bring along your ID at all times for proper identification.
I saw people rushing to got home early. It is really unsual, you can see and feel the tension to everyone. There's no traffic in Roxas Boulevard but there are many commuters waiting for their ride. There's no bus, taxi, jeepneys and vans in the terminals. I saw some commuters negotiating to taxi drivers. I don't think there's nothing to worry. This is contrary to what I've saw in local TV that GMA asked Filipinos to remain calm regarding the Makati tension. That was about 4pm this afternoon. People are panicking now, tension is increasing. I think this is unlawful and contrary to our constitution. We are free and democratic country. Where are we heading now?
I was on my way home and decided to stopped over SM Mall Of Asia to buy some things needed at home. I was in a hurry because it was getting dark already. I was in the north wing, instead of walking inside the mall to south wing, I've walked outside. When I was approaching the fountain, this sign caught my attention.
I've remembered my article "Share Your Crumbs" posted last Oct. 1 regarding Pondo ng Pinoy. Children playing around asked their parents for coins to drop them into the fountain. I don't know if these parents noticed the sign. I thought if they've noticed it and understand what Pondo ng Pinoy is all about, they will drop more coins. Thank you, Mr. Henry Sy of SM Corporation for participating in this project.
My blog received a review that states "pinoy rambling from toothpick to spaceship...indeed! I'm not exactly sure what that means but the information on the site was interesting and the site looked good. All the best!"
Why do I used "Pinoy Rambling from toothpick to spaceship" as my subtitle? Pinoy is another lingo for Filipino. The title "glitchline" sounds like foreign, using the word "Pinoy" is my way of making it Filipino even tough I used English language. Its like sharing to the world not only the beauty of the Philippines, but everything here whether it is good or not.
Rambling from toothpick to spaceship? Its something like a trademark to my site. A phrase I usually used before at my work as a freelance marketing agent. It doesn't matter what product I am selling as much as its legitimate, whether its a toothpick or a spaceship. :-D
Anyway, my site has many things to offer... I am an observant person and want to blog anything that I've observe in the Philippines, giving the information that I've experienced myself. What else? That's for you to find out.
Here's the status of the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity 2. There are 8 Celebrity housemates remaining inside the PBB house. Many twists happened and since Gaby dela Merced went out, I lose the excitement of watching it regularly. I still watch PBB though.
I'm happy for Gaby that she choosed her dream rather stay inside the PBB house. After all, she joined PBB for her F1 career needed funds.
Mcoy got irritated to Big Brother for plagiarism issue. It was a misunderstanding between them. Mcoy didn't manage to get hold of his emotions. For me, it is right to voice out his side to Big Brother but with respect. I saw disrespect and arrogance in Mcoy, he did the wrong move. He joined PBB hoping for another career after quitting his band "Orange And Lemons". Duh! What he did was seen on national TV.
Ethel Booba joined Mcoy went out of the house. She was paranoid on what was happening outside the house, actually with her allegedly boyfriend. She even attempted suicide last week to get out of the house. She saw the opportunity of going out when Mcoy decided to do so.
Shame on Mcoy and Ethel, they weren't aware that they are among the best bets for the Big Four. PBB is now on the look out for 2 more celebrities that will replaced Mcoy and Ethel inside the PBB house. There are humors that it might be Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano. If it is so, I like the wackieness of "Lucky". Joining PBB will make Angel's career bloom. After welcoming and guesting to different ABS-CBN shows, I hardly noticed her since I am a certified "kapamilya" or ABS fanatic. Who would be the 2 celebrities that will join PBB now?

I've been tagged from my other blog regarding seven truths about me. Here it is:
- I am a typical Gemini, some people say a real stub born. I don't admit that I am one but I stand to my decision whatever circumtances it may have. A gemini has a "twin" sign which symbolizes dual personality in one. I could say that I may be bad or good depends on the situation... and nothing neutral in my personality.
- Some people maybe not interested in reading newspaper, watching latest news on TV or reading news online. My day isn't complete without knowing the latest news around.
- I'm not shy to tell everyone that I am also a product of broken family. I grew up with my father together with my sisters. I love my dad so much and missed him a lot until now.
- I am the eldest among my sisters and always in charge to take care of my sisters. I've learned the word "responsibility" at an early age. It's like I am the second father when my father wasn't around.
- I have few girl friends and many boy friends. Take note, friend is separated to boy and girl. It is easy for me to get along with boys than girls. I don't like friends with many hang-ups. I used to see my bestfriend once in a while, she's always my best pal since high school.
- I consider myself a health buff, monitoring my food and physique. I drink alcohol socially and always stop before I reached my limit. The sad thing is... I can't quit smoking.
- My frustration... My dad didn't allow me to learn taekwondo when I was young, my kids did. :-) I want to try wakeboarding and surfing if given the chance.

Isn't it mouth watering? In the Philippines, we call it halo-halo (from tagalog word halo which means "mix"). It is the popular native dessert among Filipinos specially on summer season. Why? Because Philippines is a tropical country and we have lots of fruits in season all year round. There's no specific recipe for halo-halo, its a mixture of boiled sweet beans and fruits in season with crushed ice and milk. There's a wide variety of ingredients Filipino entrepreneurs used. You can buy them anywhere in the Philippines. I happened to be the kind of person who wanted to try specialty food from every place I've been.

TRAVEL ADVISORY FROM AMERICAN EMBASSY MANILA Regarding Piracy
Posted by myglitch Labels: news and infoI've received this email not once but many times from different sources. As I've searched, the advisory was released last October 7, 2007 by Thess Q. Sula, U.S. Commercial Service of American Embassy, Manila. I didn't know about the advisory not until I've read one of the chain emails I've received. Actually, I knew about the pirated CD, VCD, DVD, burned CD two years ago... the Human Resource Manager of the company where my brother works (waiter in an international luxury cruise company) informed me when I've tried to send burned CD to his co-employee that was bound to deploy. The burned CD (should I say home made CD) came from my sister in law that my brother requested.
According to the manager there were instances at that time (two years ago) that the passenger got problems with the "pakisuyo" and "padala" when they got there beacause of pirated items. It's a good thing that other concerned filipinos made this chain email so that all pinoy will be aware of the advisory. If I'm not mistaken, I've seen in a local TV News program this week that a Filipina got deported because of the pirated CD she had on her luggage.
Its odd though that chain emails circulating among Filipinos have different versions and some parts are omitted. Sad to say, I can't find the source or I cant find it in the US Emabassy Manila website. Please be informed that the American Association of Publishers (AAP) has also alerted the American customs officers to check out for pirated books. This information was given to me by Patricia Judd of the AAP.
Please warn all nursing graduates who plans to take the NCLEX and CGF exams in the states not to bring in these pirated books because there will be a penalty of automatic deportation as violation of intellectual property rights.
Not only pirated VCD/DVD are on the hot list. Please be informed that the American Association of Publishers (AAP) has also alerted the American customs officers to check out for pirated
books. Please warn all nursing graduates who plan to take the NCLEX and CGF exams in the US not to bring in these pirated books because there will be a penalty of automatic deportation as violation of intellectual property rights.
If you know anyone going from the Philippines and coming back to the USA with "pasalubong and padalas", please read this important enclosed advisory from the American Embassy in Manila. Please share with your friends.
Just a friendly reminder: if you have plans of going to the U.S., please take precautionary measures on all "padalas" especially those containing fake/pirated compact discs/DVDs. US Embassy employees have been given an advisory that "as US Gov't employees, we should abide by the U.S. laws, including Intellectual Property Rights (anti-piracy) laws. As an additional
incentive, the Consular Section recently received a report that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) searched the bag of a Filipino entering the U.S. on NW 72 in Detroit. During the search, 70-80 compact discs, 30-40 empty DVD jackets and 10-20 DVDs were found. Since the travelers were not American Citizens, their visas were canceled and they returned to the Philippines. If they had been Americans, they could have been subject to arrest and criminal
prosecution in addition t o civil fines and penalties."
Please remember even ONE pirated item can jeopardize your trip.
Also, the fingerprinting system has successfully been instituted in all port of entries. I suggest you bring extra identification cards in addition to your passport to facilitate your entry in the US Immigration. I hope this is helpful to you.

I thought I was only dreaming seeing this beautiful view with my own two eyes. The week long Bicol vacation was indeed a good idea and seeing such a wonderful place made it worthwhile. I'm thankful that I brought along my children to made them see the beauty of the Philippines. I don't want them to become strangers on our own country.

I've watched the segment the yesterday at TV Patrol. Many countries participated, they've lighted their known places using blue lights. It was really beautiful. The blue light campaign is part of a worldwide effort celebrating Diabetes World Day backed by the United Nations. After seeing the entire list made me wonder, where's Philippines? Based on a WHO study conducted last year, the Philippines is in danger of being the ninth out of the 10 countries in the world with the most diabetes cases by 2030. It said the country may have 7.8 million diabetics if preventive measures are not observed.
Our participation to Diabetes World Day focuses on Filipino children. Actually the campaign is for public awareness, a wake up call for all of us. Children belonging to low-income families are the most affected because the medication is expensive. The statistics is very alarming, the government should do something focusing to the wellbeings of the Filipino people. I hope they start with public awareness campaign, to all parts of the Philippines. If they already have, I think its not enough, many are still ignorant with their condition.
I know many people who are suffering from diabetes including my father in law, friends and some relatives. My father used to be a diabetic before he had a kidney failure. My mother found out last year that she is also a diabetic. I don't know if diabetes is hereditary but in my case, I believe it is. Therefore, having my both parents diabetic and my father in law, there's a big risk to my children to have it. It runs with their blood and it worries me a lot.

I was waiting for a cash deposit to my Equitable PCI Bank yesterday. The person who supposed to deposit a sum of money to my account informed me that my account had converted already to Banco De Oro account meaning my Equitable account doesn't exists anymore. This was what the teller told him. duh! If this so, why was that I haven't received any notice from my branch? Imagine the hassle? If I knew this beforehand, I would not advise that person to deposit it to my Equitable account, I should have use another way of money transfer.
I've called up the Equitable hotline (fastphone) immediately, they've informed me that eventually the conversion of Equitable accounts to BDO accounts will take place soon, 100%. My branch had converted their accounts last November 10 as what the call center agent told me. She also asked me if I change my mailing address. I did not.
Its confusing already that my account number had changed. I will go to my Equitable Branch first thing in the morning on Monday to know my new BDO account number. I don't know if they will replace my ATM card... what I know as of the moment is that I'll go to the same branch I had my account regardless if BDO branch is nearer to my place. Depositors to converted Equitable account should make their deposit transactions to the nearest BDO branch. I wasn't aware about the BDO and Equitable PCI Bank merge not until yesterday. :-(

I remembered my Economics subject from college. The law of supply and demand states that when supply goes up, the demand will go down... and when the demand goes up, the supply will go down. We have higher supply of dollars now mainly because of the coming Christmas season, remittances sent by 8 million OFWs all around the world to their families here in the Philippines.
That's why I've turned back my peso convertor widget here on my blog to monitor the dollar exchange rate, this might also help you monitoring the conversion rate before exchanging your precious foreign currencies. Christmas season is always the season that foreign currencies have lower exchange rate. So, expect dollar and other currencies to have much lower exchange rate to coming weeks until Christmas.
pinoy news rambling tv In February 1, 1814, Mayon Volcano erupted and sent lava flows cascading down its sides. The townspeople of Cagsawa fled to the church where they perished when it was engulfed in the fiery flows. Only the church tower remains as a memorial. Cagsawa Park Ruins is the number one tourist attraction in Bicol while viewing the famous Mayon Volcano. I've seen the beauty of the park thrice, visiting Bicol without seeing the Cagsawa Park make your vacation incomplete. I make it a point to visit Cagsawa after every vacation I made. Souveneirs and gift items were available at the entrance, there was even a resort inside the park. This image shows how it used to be.After mudflow caused by typhoon Reming last December of 2006... the Cagsawa Ruins Park was nothing to visit anymore as of this writing. The park was full of black sands, bulldozers and backhoe around to sweep off the sands. It's hard to drive to get near the church. It's like a motorcross track! I almost want to walk to get a better shot of the Cagsawa, but its almost impossible since there are dead ends of the sand trail. I just hope that the local Government rehabilitate first the major destination in Bicol. The picture below shows the Cagsawa Church now. :-(

I'm shy to told her what I want, her friendship is enough for me. For the record, she's my bestfriend way back high school days. OMG! I won't tell you how many years was that. ;-) I'm blessed to have her already! If only one of us is a guy, we've long been married, and maybe have grandchildren by now. Hey, we have the same sexual preferences, to make things clear. LOL! Anyway, she'll end up telling me first what she wants for Christmas from me and ask what do I want in return. What do you expect from a Psychology graduate? hehe..
What am I as a giver? I window shop early to find for the gift intended for each person. I always think that I'll be buying the gift for myself and that should be useful to the person. I don't like wasted gift or recycled gifts. I always make home made chocolates, place it on special containers with ribbons. Yup, food is consumable but do you ever think that the receiver might wish to have the same gift next Christmas? Its better to make food as your gift especially if the receiver knows that you made it yourself. If you'll do this make sure that the food will not expire and the receiver know what your gift is. Chances are, he/she eat it right away!

Its a weekday daily routine that after my children left for school, I always open the TV and watch for the latest news. I got shocked to know that Atty. Rene Saguisag's Toyota Grandia van was engaged in a vehicular accident at about 2am this morning.
Atty. Rene Saguisag was seriously hurt along with his driver, Felipe Calvario, their dance instructor, Rhea Obong while his wife, Dulce Saguisag was declared DOA at Ospital ng Makati (OSMAK) where they were initially rushed. Atty. Saguisag and his driver were transferred to Makati Medical Center. Rhea Obong sustained the least injuries. Recent reports said that Atty. Saguisag is now conscious.
According to the news, they were on they way home after attending a ballroom dancing at Byke's Cafe in Makati City when their were hit by a dump truck in Pasay Road near SLEX. The dump truck driver, Manuel Geronimo is under the custody of Makati Police and will be facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, serious physical injuries and damage to property.
The taxi driver, Jeoffrey Olmogez who's behind Atty. Saguisag's van was interviewed by TV Patrol and confirmed that they already had a green light and estimated the dump truck to be running at estimated speed of 110kph contrary to the dump truck driver's statement that the car carrying the Saguisag couple was running quite fast and that he had the green light. Palusot!
Let's pray for the fast recovery of Atty. Rene Saguisag, our former Senator and Human Rights Lawyer. Our deepest sympathy to the Saguisag Family for their loss.

I felt tired until now, we had a week long vacation to Albay, Bicol with my kids. Semestral break, the opportunity for vacation we've been waiting for a long time. It took us 5 years to come back again to Daraga, Albay, my mom's hometown. Actually, I had visited Bicol 3 years ago with my 2nd son. My youngest son, Allen wants to see Mayon Volcano again since he hardly remember the perfect cone of Mayon, he's 2 years old when I first brought him there.
We supposed to have this vacation last year but we had problems with our schedules. And I want to see with my own eyes the damage typoon Reming brought to Legaspi and surrounding areas of Mayon last year. There are many changes since I've last visited Bicol, there are parts of the highway that still have black sands, stones and big boulders that came from the volcano, let the pictures speak for themselves.

It was almost a year since Reming did this but until now, the rehabilitation of the area is not finish. There are still backhoes, bulldozers and other construction equipments in some parts of the highway especially in Legaspi area.
The first thing I did when I woke up on our first day (we arrived at 9pm), I went to the rooftop of my Mom's house, I thanked God that HE spared my Mom's house. But, analyzing the area, I thought its not safe anymore if something like this happen again in the future. The river at the back of the house was gone already, what was left was black sands and stones. Actually, my mom is planning to relocate to a much higher place. My mom's house is near Cagsawa ruins, since Cagsawa Church survived the Mayon eruption in 1814, she thought that this is the highest location already. Not anymore.

"Sinag" (Filipino word that means sunlight), Philippines' representative to World Solar Challenge held last October 21-28, 2007 in Australia. Sinag finished the challenge class at 12th place according to the final tally. There are 21 participants from different countries for Challenge Class. This is the first time that Philippines had a representative. This is the real Pinoy spirit! I always heard this kind of mentality from my second son who's into mountain biking. It doesn't matter if you finish the tracks late, strived enough to finished the trail is important, never quit. That's his mentality since he started mountain biking 4 years ago, he was 10 years then. Well, Sinag had proved so many things from joining to this competition. Even if this was their first time, they've managed to finished the challenge. Technorati tags: technology pinoy event
Sinag is a solar powered car. Yup! You read it right, this is another proof of Filipino ingenuity.
The SINAG Solar Car was proudly designed and built from scratch in a record time of less than a year by students from De La Salle University –Manila with the support of Ford Group Philippines, Motolite, Philippine Airlines, San Miguel Corporation, Pilipinas Shell, SunPower, U-Freight, and Ventus. The project is also supported by Aurora, Cabrera Lavadia and Associates, JWT, CreAsia, Merritt Partners, Tuason Racing School, Gochermann Solar Technology, and Stratworks.Joining the World Solar Challenge will be an extremely grueling endeavor, the Sinag Project Team is not expected to win any award. “We’re not looking to win but to finish the game and prove that we Filipinos can also do it.”

The song that macoy sang and had a duet with his wife Helena. I love that song, original version by Gary Valenciano. Watching him singing the song while playing the guitar made me left my stuff and watch him for a moment, he's a real family man. I saw in his eyes how he misses his family. I'm reading his body language, I thought he wants to take his blindfold off when he heard his daughters. Happy Birthday, Macoy!
The day that you came into my life
You asked for my name
You had the most beautiful smile
My life started to change
I'd wake up each day feeling alright
With you right by my side
Makes me feel things will work out just fine
CHORUS
How did you know
I needed someone like you in my life
That there's an empty space in my heart
You came at the right time in my life
I'll never forget
How you brought the sun to shine in my life
And took all the worries and fears that I had
I guess what I'm really trying to say
It's not everyday that someone like you comes my way
No words can express how much I love you
Repeat Chorus
