Entrecard Members, Beware Of Copybloggers!
As I’ve blog hopping, aside from the other observation I’ve already blogged about entrecard. I’ve noticed that there are a lot of copy bloggers. Sometimes, same picture or image in the blog, even the typographical error of the article were copied.
They knew that they were guilty of plagiarism but they still insist their article is original. Duh! They are using entrecard to blog hop and find a possible article to be copied. As you blog hop with entrecard, please do check on the contents before dropping your card, you might be surprised that you have a duplicate article on someone’s blog. With or without permission, nobody wants a duplicate content of their article.
Two or three heads are better than one? I don’t think it is the appropriate phrase on blogging. Does it mean that you are rephrasing and/or combining two or more articles to make a better article? You can do better than that. There’s no right or wrong on your blog, its your blog. Other bloggers can comment anyway.
My right click protection provided by whozontop lessen the risk of copying my contents though I know that there are other ways if they really want to copy them. Well, at least, it lessen the risk. There’s nothing to debate if the blogosphere’s “hotshots” are not using it, its their choice.
Copyblogging is not a fad, its a virus as old as the internet. We cannot avoid it but we have to protect our intellectual property. I’ve read somewhere (sorry, I didn’t bookmark it) that the blog can be banned or the adsense account can be cancelled. Will you take the risk, dude?

I have a LiveJournal and it’s not an Entrecard blog (I think it’s impossible to install the widget on that thing) and recently I found one of my entries posted in another blog. Weird. Anyway it’s ok since there is a link there to my LJ.
One way to check if someone has copied text from your blog is to check with http://copyscape.com.
Hi, Jamie. Thanks for the comment. Some clarification, this is not an entrecard blog, I’m just posting some articles about entrecard to share my observations.
Anyway, I’ve tried copyscape but forgot to place the widget back when I changed my template.
Sad. Unfortunately, we can’t control these pesky plagiarists (if there is a word lol)
But it’s true. Google will penalize your blog if Google founds out that it’s just a duplicate.
oh btw, i can right click your blog using firefox.
Hi, doorlight. Well, as I’ve said to my entry, it would just lessen the risk.
Oh what I meant to say is yung Livejournal ko, I didn’t register it to Entrecard that’s why I referred to it as not an Entrecard blog. Sorry for the confusion.
May widget ang Copyscape? I thought it’s just a banner that goes Protected by Copyscape or something similar.
whozontop is ok but theres a glitch on it too. i have posted 3 articles found in some article submission site but the rule is you have to put their links and thats the decent way to do it.
hi glitch! maraming scrapers dito sa blogging world. try to check your feeds din baka naka set sa “full”
Jeangrey,
Before, nkafull ang feeds ko pero na-adjust ko na ulit now. May point ka dun. ahehe..
hay naku glitch! there will always be a bunch of magnanakaw ever sa blogosphere! i am a victim myself, pati kamo those that i write for PPP and the rest, they copy them, taz di ako babayaran coz PPP would say na AKO PA ang nangopya ever! ang galaiti ko talaga oo!
I’ve experienced this for a couple of times. I started to hate those people because they haven’t even considered how hard to come up with every articles we write or even in gathering the facts or information. They don’t even mind recognizing the original poster.
hmmm how about if you post your url in the middle of your post? parang sa lyrics? di ba yung mga ibang lyrics sites, may url sa gitna ng lyrics para pag copy paste, mapapansin kaagad na lifted pala from a website yung lyrics? pag tinanggal mo lang manually, saka lang mawawala yung url. kung automatic na nakokopya yung posts through rss, at least andun yung url mo. hehe. halatang nakopya. or maglagay ka lang ng note at the end of your post. may ganun si yuga sa feeds niya e.
Content thieves are rampant nowadays, and mostly they are Adsense-driven sites. Such pitiful act.
