How To Tag

Should I assigned a day for tag day? Nah, I don’t think so, I seldom been tagged now that my blog is a PR0 since I’ve moved to a new domain. I’m honored that I’ve been tagged, it doesn’t matter if I still have unfinished articles. Its very easy to tag any blogger you want. The problem to tagging is when the blogger you tagged didn’t do what he/she supposed to do. Snob? No. Maybe, tagging is not his/her cup of tea. Or something else… *wink* But honestly, it didn’t felt nice. I’ve experienced this many times, sometimes I don’t wanna do meme anymore. On the contrary, its good karma, sharing the love through linking. Call it linklove as many bloggers call it.

I was first tagged from my wordpress.com blog and really don’t know what to do. Research and observe… that’s how I came to know how tagging works. Here’s how to do it to those who want to know:

  1. Make an article to respond to the tag.
  2. Mention the blogger who tag you, make sure that you place the exact link of the article to his/her name. Tagging is useless if you forgot this part.
  3. Then link the bloggers you want to tag and who are suppose to link you back to your article.

Remember that not all bloggers are doing the “tag” thing, don’t expect much. Don’t link too much, so google will not brand you as a linkie farm. You want a linkback, right? If you’re using a wordpress blog, make sure that you have a dofollow plugin or don’t use the rel=”nofollow” code to your links on that article. Otherwise, the bloggers you tagged will never know that they’ve been tagged.

Whew! So many do’s and dont’s… Anyway, mckhoii and joanjoyce shared these awards to me. Isn’t that sweet?!

I’m sharing these lovely awards to deimos, ito54joni, orangeinks and marikenya. Its my way of saying “thank you“. I’m not expecting a linkback. I guess, I’ll be making a weekly linklove entry to thank all the bloggers that have been nice to me. Cheers!

sometimes it’s the other way around. somebody tagged me but didn’t even put my link. hehe meme is fine but not that often. who would want a blog full of meme. :)

    Joyce, No problem.

Daisy, you right. Sometimes, I saw a blog full of meme. ahehe… If they put your name but didn’t link you or did not follow, they didn’t really “tag” you. ahehe.

Articles in Wordpress would not have the nofollow tag plastered onto unless explicitly done so.

Only commentators’ URL and any links in the comments are automatically plastered with the nofollow tag, in Wordpress.

I have a confession to make:

I have been tagged or memed many times but I have yet to tag or meme back anyone.

I drafted up a special meme post but it never got published in the end.

Its ok, Deimos. My entry is supposed to pingback the person who tag me. As I’ve said, I’m not expecting a linkback. Its my way of saying thank you. Cheers!

hi glitch, i didn’t know you got your own domain na pala.. i remember visiting your wordpress blog before.. anyway, ako im guilty about the tagging thing, sometimes di ko na nagagawa dahil ang daming iniisip! :) kaya ngayon when someone tags me, i just make a draft post then i’ll finish it nalang when i have time.

anyway i’ll update nalang my links page and see if i have included you :)
