The participants of the tournament are mostly from the Asia-Pacific region, they will surely enjoy the two week tournament activities. According to Anthony de Leon, general manager of the Baguio Country Club, the Fil-Am tournament is the “longest and largest” in the amateur class.

Getting 1200 golfers into one location must be quite a setup, as each golfer or group of golfers has to come in from their normal place of residence. Having that many individuals in a competition raises the competitive feeling for all, and the fans tend to enjoy the process.
