Cory Aquino Funeral Schedule And Route
Since tomorrow was declared a special non working holiday, it is expected that the volume of people will surpass the number of Ninoy’s funeral. Although its sort of different now, our love for Tita Cory brings us together to bring her to her final resting place beside her beloved husband, our hero Ninoy.
To make a better understanding on the funeral route of our beloved former President Cory Aquino, I made a screenshot of google map. On the top left part of the image with #1 is the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros. The march will start there after the 9 am mass. Mass and preparations for the march could take approximately 2 hours.
From Manila Catherdral, they will turn left to Roxas Boulevard until they reach Quirino Avenue. The corner of Roxas Boulevard and Quirino Avenue is Ospital ng Maynila (Manila Hospital), they will turn left there and straight to SLEX (South Luzon Expressway). We are not sure if they will use Sky Way or not, depends on the volume of the people coming.
From SLEX, they will exit to Sucat Exit (turn right) and march along Dr. A. Santos Avenue or Sucat Road until they reach Manila Memorial Park. Estimated time could be 3pm to 5pm. We saw the volume of supporters yesterday, from La Salle Greenhills to Manila Cathedral, it is expected that more people will come tomorrow.
There are groups coming from different locations, some will wait to the road where the march will pass, some will join the march and some will be contented to see the entourage.
If you will go directly to Manila Memorial Park better use SLEX. You could comment here so I can give you alternative route going there and going home. I live in Paranaque but I might wait in Roxas Boulevard.

Thanks!
According to the people of Mayor Binay who made public announcements here in Bangkal, Makati, they will pass along South Super Highway / Pres. Osmena Highway and not SkyWay.
Let’s hope, because the SSH-SkyWay entrance is far from Bangkal, it’s in front of Cash-n-Carry, corner of Buendia.
Anyway, since you also live near SSH, I am really tracking when South Super Highway / Pres. Osmena Highway was started to be called “South Luzon Expressway”
Because last time I checked (years ago), SLEX starts at the far-end of the Muntinlupa-SLEX bridge (hence the name) coming from the North.
I hope you can help with tracking this annexing of SSH to SLEX ^_^ (Since you referred to SSH as SLEX as well :p ).
Again thanks a bunch!

Hi, I don’t live near SSH.
My mistake. I consider South Super Highway as SLEX. I don’t have any idea if its still called SSH. For me, SLEX and SSH is the same thing. I guess, SLEX starts at Nichols tollgate. Just a wild guess.
Thanks for dropping by.
Hi,
No need for apologies, I’m actually asking if you have infos ^_^ I’m trying to track when it happened because the media, especially ABS-CBN and GMA are calling the length of SSH/Osmena as SLEX.
We’re getting a lot of road renames it is hard to track already, just trying to update myself
Pardon me if I sounded like I’m correcting you or anything ^_^
Mabuhay!
