Dollar Blessings!
This is what I received after coming back from Bicol vacation with my children. Until now, I haven’t exchange it yet. It worries me because of the lower exhange of dollar to peso now. In fact, the news last night on TV reported that OFWs were dismayed to know that the value of dollar they’ve sent was lower than it used to be.
I remembered my Economics subject from college. The law of supply and demand states that when supply goes up, the demand will go down… and when the demand goes up, the supply will go down. We have higher supply of dollars now mainly because of the coming Christmas season, remittances sent by 8 million OFWs all around the world to their families here in the Philippines.
That’s why I’ve turned back my peso convertor widget here on my blog to monitor the dollar exchange rate, this might also help you monitoring the conversion rate before exchanging your precious foreign currencies. Christmas season is always the season that foreign currencies have lower exchange rate. So, expect dollar and other currencies to have much lower exchange rate to coming weeks until Christmas.

Katufors: North Meets South
Katufors is a clan, the members are composed of the original “Bulacan Boys”. The name Katufor, originated from the words “KAIN”, “TULOG” and “FORUM”. Don’t take it seriously. 
Anyway, since the original members are from Bulacan, Jeff also a member invited us to Pansol, Laguna (his hometown) to her only daughter’s first birthday party. When we arrived, Jeff told us that the party was done days ago and he reserved the venue for katufors. Whew! Mabuhay ka, Jeff! I went to school to bring my youngest son his food share for their school activity today. They’re celebrating the Feast Of Archangels now. To those who have their angel costume may wear their costume during the celebration, they also have program and parlor games. I didn’t bother to buy him a costume, its not required anyway.
Anyway, as I went out of the school gate I saw the wrangler type jeep at the parking lot. It made me smile, looking at it brought back many memories.
I used to have the same jeep, same color, almost every detail it had. That kind of jeep was made of fiberglass, the difference was I had bigger tires. I inherited the jeep from my dad. That same jeep was like my second home, I had small bag containing extra shirts, shoes and some toiletries that was always inside it. I even had a small glass ashtray on the dashboard! Almost everyday he was my companion because I traveled a lot from Manila to Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Tarlac, Laguna, sometimes Bataan… it was work related.
The only thing I regret was I haven’t got the chance to drive my dad to his regular check-ups, dialysis and his frequent visits to the hospital when he was still alive. I didn’t know how to drive when he was still alive or should I say my priority at that time was his health.
I’ve sold my jeep many years ago, my income at that time can’t cover its maintaing expenses already. Well, those were the days… Someday I will buy another one just like that, we can never tell.

I have retrieved this site, I can’t believed that I have this account since 2004. At that time I am concentrating on mobile blogging since my only access is my symbian phone and had limited access on computer from time to time. I didn’t even know what have changed here since then. Its amusing to know that I can change my domain here and decided to change it to glitchline. I don’t know any blog that allows domain changing, that’s cool!
Time flies… I had planned to make this my personal journal before, everything changed in many ways, with many reasons. I didn’t want a journal of my personal life, after all things had move on already. I’ll be posting everything from “toothpick to spaceship”. LOL! Its just an expression, anything goes here, whatever comes into my mind.
I’ve noticed that there are a lot of free blogger themes, I got lucky to have this theme. I really love it, it blends with my extreme character. Just kidding. LOL
