Where's PageRank?

Two months from now this blog will celebrate 1st year anniversary. September 27, 2007 is my first entry. I have this blog since 2004 but I forgot my password. I retrieved it and made glitchline‘s first post last September 27. So I consider that date the birthday of this blog.

I still don’t have plans on how to celebrate it especially now that Google is updating the PageRank. I moved to my own domain to this blog last January and lost PR1 for moving. Until now from January, this blog is still a PR0. I don’t know how to express my disappointment. Two updates had passed already, I was hoping to regain a PR1. To be honest, I don’t know if I continue this blog or maybe change the blog’s concept. Hoping before this blog’s birthday, everything is on the right track.

NAIA Terminal 3 Finally Opens

200px-naia3Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA Terminal 3 finally opened its door for commercial flights this morning. The lucky Cebu Pacific flight bound for Caticlan is the first flight to use the controversial NAIA 3 at 5:10 am this morning.

Why controversial? The third terminal of the airport, the larger Terminal 3, is the newest terminal in the NAIA complex. Constructed starting 1997, the terminal is 98% complete as of 2006. It is one of the most controversial projects the Philippine government has gotten involved in, and in some cases is likened to a white elephant. Legal battles and red tape, especially international arbitration cases in both the United States and Singapore as a result of mismanagement of the project by the Estrada government, as well as technical and safety concerns, have delayed the opening several times. It is slated to officially open on June 30, 2008. – taken from wikipedia

The journey to the new airport will take 30 minutes per passenger to reach boarding area. There are guides to avoid passengers to get lost. I heard, a couple won a round trip ticket to Caticlan on NAIA 3 first operating day. Wow! They experienced first the NAIA 3 and they won round trip tickets to Caticlan. They are lucky indeed on their Boracay vacation.

Looking forward to see and experience NAIA Terminal 3 soon.

Arroyo Gets The Lowest SWS Rating

arroyo_swsPresident Arroyo receives the lowest rating of -38% in recent SWS survey. The Arroyo administration had a lowest rating of -33% in 2005.

The June 27-30 survey results added that only 22 percent of the respondents were satisfied with the President’s overall performance against 60 percent who said they were not.

A lowest rating could be attributed to rising prices of basic goods, rice, electricity, gasoline and other basic commodities. Of course, the first affected of crisis are the less fortunate Filipinos. Read more…

Another Guinness World Record For Paeng Nepomuceno

paengnepomucenoFilipino bowler Paeng Nepomuceno received his 3rd certificate from Guiness Book of World Records for having won the most number of bowling tournaments worldwide. His first is Guinness Record Hall of Fame for winning four World Cups in three different decades (70’s, 80’s and 90’s). His second Guinness distinction was in recognition of his feat as the youngest to win a world title at age 19. Information taken here.

It was in the news tonight, multi awarded Paeng Nepomuceno was suprised upon receiving the certificate. My youngest son and I just had finished studying Sibika (Social Studies) about the world class Filipino personalities such as Manny Pacquiao, Lisa Macuja, Lea Salonga, Cecil Licad etc. I was explaining to my son their success on their respective fields. I did told him about Paeng Nepomuceno but I didn’t know that he is Guiness Book of Records awardee, not once but thrice. Wow! I’m really proud to be a Pinoy.
