No Classes On My Birthday!
Start of school usually starts on first week of June, this year most schools started in June 1, my kids’ first day of school was yesterday. During my student days, I was guilty of wishing for an early opening of classes so my classmates could sing me a birthday song and my teachers could greet me. That wish wasn’t granted because there are NO school opening started as early as June 5 during my student years. Mababaw ba? That’s who I am.
On the contrary, I never wished for early school opening (for my children) because we didn’t make the most of summer vacation this year, rainy days… budget… and inheritance problems with my relatives. As usual, I woke up as early as 5 am to prepare my kids for school and I turned on the TV to wait for weather report. TeleRadyo interviewed Deped Secretary Jesli Lapus, “No classes for elementary and high school students in NCR (National Capital Region) because of heavy monsoon rains and strong winds which may trigger flashfloods and landslides”.
I was thinking of updating all my blogs today since school day is my normal blogging day when my kids are out for school. I guess, my blogging schedule will be back to normal again next week if I don’t have terrible DSL connection like yesterday. And since there are no classes today, I might be out for lunch or dinner with my kids. Chow!
I'm Back!!!
Just a quick post to update my blog. Its been a month since my last post. Here I am after battling trojan virus, new motherboard, processor and power supply. I missed blogging but I took it as an opportunity to spend more time during the holidays with my family, relatives and friends.
Regarding my last post about Kuya Bong‘s health condition, he was discharged right before Christmas, he’s still recovering at home. Naturally, he had more medicines now including blood thinners and always watching his diet. His doctor advised him not to eat green leafy vegetables that might affect his medicines. I don’t know why but I suggested to research for food he should avoided just like what I did to avoid kidney stones. Thank you guys for all the prayers.
I still have many things to catch up on blogging as you can see I still have Christmas bells here. Cheers.

Who Can Comment, Blogspot?
This blog is used to be on blogspot but same with my other blog, all comments are moderated. I have nothing against blogspot. I noticed that there are some bloggers are too strict on “who can comment?” on their blog. I found it odd when they are inviting readers to comment on their post.
What if the reader doesn’t have a blogspot/blogger/google account? Sad to say, I got turned off if I still have to login just to comment on the post. Its ok if comments are moderated but they should realize that readers/co-bloggers also have precious time.
The image above is the settings for my “Who can comment?”. Anyway, comments are moderated. What about “Show word for verification?”, some call it as “anti-spam”, it’s a no-no for me from the start. Please set it to no. Don’t limit your blog to blogger/blogspot commentators, in the long run, you will see the difference.
I Lost My Site For 15 Minutes
If you lost your entire site, how would you feel? Blogging days over?
I mistakenly overwrite my files here using bluehost’s simple script application and lost my site for 15 minutes last night. I checked on my bluehost file manager, everything was gone. Of course, I got panic. I almost want to cry for loosing almost a year of blog articles. The best part is my blog is hosted on bluehost. I contacted the customer support via live chat, minutes later, my glitchline is back to normal. Take note that I always made backups regularly, without these backups I don’t know what will happen.
What if I insisted on hosting this blog to my other blog’s host? It is on a monthly basis but customer support is terrible plus they will be charging me for retrieving my backup database. Although its possible, I did it once there (manually)… I already have my decision to transfer my other blog to bluehost soon.
Anyway, when I login to entrecard, I saw this on my panel:

I have no idea that Entrecard’s automatic scanner is that accurate but how come I still see some sites who dropped on my widget but didn’t display their widget? Template error? Banned by entrecard because of quick page? Inspite of the fact that my site became unstable for a few days this month because of my migration, I like to thank my top droppers for the month of August.
